Incentives for First-Time Employees

If you're entering the formal workforce and newly registered with EPFO, the Government of India will support you with a direct incentive of upto Rs. 15,000, paid in two parts

Any employee
  • with date of joining in an establishment between 01.08.2025 and 31.07.2027 (both dates inclusive) and;
  • who was not a contributing member of Employees Provident Fund either with EPFO or Exempted Trust prior to 01.08.2025 and
  • their Contribution is received in EPFO or exempted trust for the first time for the wage month August 2025 or thereafter

Inclusive of all emoluments received by the employee as per the terms of the employment contract

You must complete 6 months of employment in the same establishment for first installment of the incentive

Incentives for Employers

If you are an EPFO-registered establishment that creates net additional new jobs, you will be awarded incentives, directly credited to your PAN-linked bank account.

  • Obtain EPFO code and file monthly returns of employment
  • The benefit also extends to establishments that are exempted under EPF ACT

For establishments whose baseline is less than 50: at least 2 employees For establishments whose baseline is equal to or more than 50: at least 5 employees

Benefits will be paid only if new employees works atleast for 6 months
